1975 NASL Draft Pick Transactions
January 15, 1975
In each round, the three expansion teams— Rowdies, Thunder, and Sting— drafted first without territorial limitations. The fifteen established teams then participated in an optional regional draft, for the first round only, in which each team had the opportunity to protect one player attending college within its territorial limits. If a team did not exercise its option, it was placed at the end of the first round and was able to draft nationally after the regional selections had been made.
