If you are not getting the search results you expect, READ THIS.
You may enter any combination of fields (not
all fields have to be specified). Searches are not case sensitive.
Player/Coach/Exec Name— You may enter partial names for Player/Coach/Exec
search ("Gretzky" will match Wayne Gretzky and all other
Gretzkys). If you specify a name and do not receive the results you
expect, first try being less specific in your search parameter.
Team— Team names must be entered as complete team nicknames
(for example, "Red Wings"), and must match exactly. Partial
names ("Wings") will not match. Entering a city name ("Detroit")
will not match. Also, non-NHL teams must be followed by the league
name in parentheses ("Stingers (WHA)").
Entering just "Stingers" will
not match.
Begin/End Date— You may enter partial dates. Any Begin Date fields
that are left blank will default to the earliest possible date, and
any End Date fields that are left blank will default to the latest
possible
date. For example, if you want to see all transactions for the year
2000, just enter 2000 in the Begin Date Year field and 2000 in the
End Date Year field. If you want to see all transactions for February
of 2000, enter the years as above and enter 2 for both the Begin
Date Month and End Date Month. If you want to see all transactions
from 2000-01-01 to present day, just enter 2000 in the Begin Date Year
field and leave all End Date fields blank. |
